The Spa at Carden is known as an adult-only retreat complete with a Bollinger Champagne bar in the spa and a 2,500 square metre spa garden. However, the 1000 acre estate in Cheshire is also home to a beautiful hotel, complete with its own vineyard, two 18-hole golf courses and an FA-sized football pitch. They're known for hosting football training camps, tennis training and rugby training alongside many other sports.
Lots of spas have tennis courts, but few places offer such a spectacular backdrop for a friendly match as Hoar Cross Hall. The five-star hotel and spa in Staffordshire, sits in 50 acres of grounds and gardens. Amongst the manicured lawns, rose beds, box hedges and woodland, there's space for rest and relaxation in a spectacular spa. However, sports fans can also enjoy jogging, cycling, croquet, boules, archery, golf and tennis on exceptionally kept outdoor courts.
There are lots of amazing hotel spas with impressive golf courses and golf facilities. One of our favourites is The Belfry. The hotel is famous for its hospitality, as well as its dedicated Simply THE Spa complete with a popular Fire and Ice thermal suite. Golf however, is very much the pivotal experience. As the UK headquarters of the PGA, the hotel has three golf courses including Ryder Cup course, The Brabazon, as well as a PGA National Golf Academy for those who want to brush up their game.
Fairmont Windsor Park offers a feast of experiences - you really have to visit more than once to make the most of it. The all-singing, all-dancing hotel has everything you could possibly ask for, from 40 acres of grounds and gardens to a 2,500m2 spa complete with thermal facilities and specialist experiences like a cryotherapy chamber. Alongside five-star luxury, the grounds are brimming with sporting opportunities, including a chance to try your hand at the increasingly popular Padel tennis. There are two courts available, alongside three regular tennis courts, an outdoor gym and training rig, as well as a 20m sled track.
Trust the beautiful Cricklade House Hotel and Fritillary Spato provide for a unique sporting experience with its own Pétangue Court. The French version of boules is a lovely way to spend the afternoon in the summer months, surrounded by the picturesque country house hotel and spa. Also while you're here, don't forget to head off for a stroll in the Wiltshire Downs, or even bring your bike and go for a cycle.
