Cornwall’s Polurrian on The Lizard hotel and spa opened its doors this Easter to great excitement and anticipation.
Located on the reassuringly unspoiled Lizard Peninsula, the communal areas of the 41- bedroom hotel have been refurbished with a twist. The result is a stylish and relaxing environment with an enhanced lifestyle offering.
Key features at Polurrian on The Lizard include the restaurant’s Gozney wood fired oven. There are also several guest spaces such as a chill out area with retro seating and a customised waltzer. A decadent new bar offers a marvellous selection of rums, gins, beers and wines from Cornwall. They also have a tantalisting cocktail list; perfect for sipping whilst watching the sun set over Mount’s Bay.
The restaurant’s woodfired oven is perfect for hand-stretched pizzas. The new menu is inspired by the rustic dishes and bold flavours of the Mediterranean.
All food is made using the finest produce from Cornwall’s countryside and coastline. Dishes include tapas starters, locally caught fish and mouth-watering desserts including the famous Roskilly’s ice cream.
For those who like a little more independence on holiday there are four three-bedroom, two-bathroom seaside villas available. These high-spec villas offer guests their own private space alongside the benefit of all the hotel’s facilities.
Mindful of consumer demand for wellbeing activities and opportunities, the hotel has responded in thoughtful and creative ways. There is a programme of rejuvenating wellbeing activities available.
Guests at Polurrian on The Lizard can explore the coastal paths on the hotel’s doorstep. Or relax on the hotel’s very own beach to soak up the natural beauty and wildlife which make the area so popular.
You can also delight in the Health Club and its facilities, which include an indoor pool, hot tub and gym. Elemis spa treatments are the cherry on top. Ease aching muscles with a deep tissue massage or re-energise with a superfood facial. Or you may simply choose to enjoy relaxing with a good book on the spa veranda.
Polurrian on The Lizard’s cliff-top tennis court and seasonal outdoor pool are firm favourites already. In addition, kayaking, coasteering, paddle boarding and surfing can also be enjoyed as part of a stay.
Beyond the hotel, guests can also make the most of all Cornwall has to offer. From wine tasting with local family-run vineyard Polgoon to surf lessons and masterclasses on how to make a traditional Cornish pasty.
