The Regency Hotel Dublin has recently introduced the luxurious Payot product line, and with it their spectacular Experience Facial. Here’s what it does and why it works…

What exactly is the treatment?

The treatment journey starts with an introduction ritual using the famous Payot elixir to balance and soothe the senses before your therapist starts the cleanse, tone and exfoliation process.  Then it’s time for their 42 step massage to lift, contour and rejuvenate the skin while relaxing and energising the body.  We then apply a serum and complexes followed by the My Payot Experience deluxe peel off masque.  The facial finishes with the application of skin boosting and re-charging moisturising complexes and moisturisers which leave your skin feeling and looking refreshed and hydrated with a luminous glow.

Where does it come from?

Payot is a luxury French brand created in 1913 by Nadia Payot who was the first female doctor of her generation. Nadia was a generous woman who demonstrated early on, her commitment to using her medical expertise and knowledge to contribute to the beauty of women. Nadia believed that if exercise can help a body stay healthy and young then exercising the face and neck would have the same effect. With this in mind Nadia developed a 42 step massage to lift, counter and energise the skin while enhancing delivery of active skincare ingredient technology.

What is it supposed to do?

The facial energises and stimulates the skin, leaving a fresh luminous complexion. It’s an excellent boost for fatigued, dull and stressed skin. My Payot skincare boosts the skin’s radiance and restores its vitality and freshness leaving the skin brimming with health.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

The introduction ritual using the famous Payot elixir, and the signature 42 step facial massage and peel off masque are highlights of the experience.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Following treatment it is good practise to use an SPF daily, and to enhance your treatment results use the recommended home care and advice from your therapist.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

Although the treatment is popular with clients with dull and tired skin, it is also the perfect pre-bridal treatment choice, or skincare boost after sunny holidays.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

There are no contraindications to the My  Payot experience facial, however the therapist will assess your skin to ensure it is the best choice for your skin type and conditions. Elements of the treatment such as exfoliation would be omitted in the case of Roaccutane usage.
