Read full postIt's been welcoming spa lovers for more than 30 years, but there's something about Ragdale Hall that keeps us coming back time and again. Here are just a few of the reasons we love it.
In an immaculate, Victorian country house spa hotel in Leicestershire, instantly recognisable by its red brick facade, Ragdale Hall is all about luxury and wellbeing. The spa experience is an essential part of your visit - a total retreat where you can relax in style.
Food is a big part of the retreat experience, from fine dining to light bites. Proving health and wellbeing can be delicious, head to the Dining Room, Garden Room, Verandah Bar and Twilight Bar - you don't even need to change out of your robe and slippers.
The thermal spa is the centrepiece of your stay, including more than 12 heat and water experiences (including six pools), from a candle pool in a cavernous haven of lights to an outdoor waterfall pool, which feels like bathing in an undiscovered lagoon. We also love the rooftop infinity pool with views across the countryside.
Journey through a series of unique wellbeing experiences, which are as good for mind and body as they are for the soul. Amongst them is an immersive thought zone designed to nurture deeper thinking, a colourflow cave that offers a hedonistic detox that combines steam, vision and smell, a volcanic salt bath, and a scented room and a starlit cave experience shower complete with its own thunderstorm.
As if all those experiences weren't enough, the spa has a range of more than 100 treatments available, drawing on the powers of products including Elemis, Clarins, Medik8 and Sea Magik. They even have their own Created By Ragdale treatments, which have been curated by their team of expert therapists.
