Following a trend that comes straight from Hollywood, Moddershall Oaks talks about their newest treatment, set to launch in September … a Vegan Pedicure!

What exactly is the Vegan Pedicure?

The Cinnamon and Mandarin Mini Pedicure is a completely organic and vegan pedicure recently launched at our spa. During the treatment, you will experience a lower leg and foot exfoliation with a spicy cinnamon and peach kernel oil infused scrub. This will be followed by a file and application of a vegan nail polish of your choice.

Where does it come from?

The vegan manicure and pedicure comes mainly from USA where there are an increasing number of celebrities who embrace veganism as a way of life. Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway are leading and promoting the trend.

What is it supposed to do?

The aromatherapy properties of the cinnamon will revitalize your body while the vegan, toxin-free polish (free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene) will nourish your cuticles, build strong nails and give you a flawless colour.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

We take time during the exfoliation to make sure the skin is left entirely soft, nothing is rushed. It makes the treatment more pleasant and the client will see better results.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Foot creams are great to keep up maintenance post pedicure.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

This treatment is very convenient to people with allergies as the vegan polishes don’t have any nauseating polish fumes thanks to its natural fragrance!

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

The treatment is completely organic and there aren’t any contraindications attached.
