HarSPA is the signature spa brand of the UK’s nationwide luxury spa hotel group. Spabreaks.com offers escapes to the Harbour Hotels located in Salcombe, Chichester, Bristol, Brighton, St Ives, Sidmouth and Guildford. With their own range of spa products, they have tailor made their own treatments to be entirely unique to them.
Here, they talk about their signature spa treatment, HarSPA Marine Mind and Body. A head to toe spa treatment, it includes a facial, full body massage, scrub and polish. The result is a complete wellbeing experience that’s a perfect luxury spa treatment for men and women and the cherry on top of a spa day or spa break.
What exactly is the spa treatment?
Being our signature spa therapy, HarSPA Marine Mind and Body treatment is all about a top to toe experience. It is also a good introduction to the entire HarSPA brand.
- The treatment starts with a foot soak whilst a consultation takes place.
- Skin brushing follows to improve circulation.
- Then a full body polish with a scrub that’s rich in seaweed.
- A full body massage is after that, using movements designed to relax and balance mind and body.
- This is followed by focused movements on areas of concern to release muscular tension.
- The final stage is a full facial using the HarSPA range of products, tailored to an individual’s needs.
Overall, it is an amazing journey and introduction into a full spa experience!
Where does the spa treatment come from?
HarSPA is unique to the Harbour Hotel group spas and is developed by the Natural Spa Factory. The partnership was founded on the clarity and wellbeing of coastal life. The products use naturally sourced marine elements and botanicals.
What is the spa treatment supposed to do?
It’s all about helping to relax every part of your body and mind!
Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the spa treatment?
Obviously our spa environments in general are treated to promote wellbeing. Each Harbour spa has been individually designed with its own take on a coastal theme. They’re very luxurious environments but in an easy-going way. The treatments have been designed alongside the spa, so it’s a really holistic, all encompassing experience.
Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre- or post-spa treatment to get the most out of it?
Definitely use the spa facilities and take time to relax. It’s really all about giving yourself space to concentrate on wellbeing.
Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
This spa treatment is good for both men and women looking for total relaxation. It’s a really extensive spa treatment for the whole body encompassing both massage and facial, so it’s a really complete experience.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?
The ingredients would need to be amended for anyone during pregnancy, as would some of the deeper massage movements. If you have recently had surgery or been treated for serious illnesses including cancer then you should also consult the spa before booking.
