Why deep listening is making sound waves in wellbeing
In a noisy world, how can you take a moment to be fully present, and hear your own thoughts (or maybe silencing them)? Deep listening is one of the spa trends to watch.
Read full postDescribed as British sophistication with a Mediterranean soul, Temple Spa skincare and beauty products are an award-winning line with integrity that have been making waves in the spa world for 20 years.
Increasingly prevalent in spas from Thurlestone Hotel in Devon to the Spread Eagle Hotel and spa in Sussex, Temple Spa’s products are the perfect balance of luxury, wellbeing and natural ingredients.
Beautifully scented and delivering sensual results, we have tried and tested them multiple times over the years. The result has been a recent collaboration in the form of two exclusive Temple Spa Beauty Boxes, available as upgrade delivery options when you buy a Spabreaks.com gift voucher.
On a personal note, my first spa treatment as a member of the Spabreaks.com team, nearly 10 years ago, was also by Temple Spa, at Rowhill Grange. It was a 55-minute Mediterranean Infusion body wrap which started with an all over body brush followed by a marinade of fresh mint, cucumber, and yoghurt, and a honey and lemon facial, finishing with a scalp massage. The ingredients were good enough to eat and it had a totally soporific effect.
Then again, more recently I was treated to a Drift Away Massage at the beautiful Spread Eagle; a simpler treatment using their beautiful Drift Away oil, and very much about the massage techniques used for stress relief, and inducing a meditative sense of calm.
Skincare products are such a big part of the spa experience, as well as giving you the option to take a little of that feel good factor home with you, so here we wanted to give a little more information about some of our skincare favourites from this delicious brand.
I have always felt that while products that are used occasionally, such as face masks, are wonderful things to have, it’s a very restorative thing to have beautiful products that you can use every day. It makes a little wellbeing ritual of relatively mundane parts of the day and can be a really meaningful part of self care. For that reason, here are some suggestions for Temple Spa products to try - all of these are included in the standard beauty box!
I have terribly dry skin, so a daily body moisturiser is a must for me, and the smell of this skin balm is mouthwatering. With extracts of coriander, lemon and nutmeg, antioxidants and a fusion of relaxing essential oils and vitamin B5, Peace Be Still is aromatherapy and skincare in one. It’s moisturising, hydrating and can also be popped into a handbag as a hand cream.
From £19.00
A deeply enriching hand balm with aloe vera, jojoba oil and vitamin E, to soothe and moisturise dry chapped hands. It sinks right in and leaves your skin soft and comfortable for hours.

You don’t often associate spa product lines with haircare, but Good Hair Day is perfect for regular use. Packed with nourishing ingredients like aloe vera, glycerin and vitamin B5 to condition and help resist split ends and damage, it’s designed to leave hair shiny and voluminous, but it’s also just a joy to use.
From £4.00
Because it’s wonderfully pleasing to have matching haircare products, and because In Good Condition has a fresh, minty scent thanks to jojoba, vitamin B, eucalyptus and peppermint ingredients. It hydrates, thickens, nourishes, and smells amazing.
