No.1 by GuestHouse York is a boutique hotel and spa in the heart of picturesque York. Very much in line with the romance of the occasion, the Regency townhouse is not about facilities, it's all about pampering. Their Time Together Spa Stay is a wonderful way to enjoy quality time with your bridesmaids or maid of honour before wedding day. Dedicated to rest and relaxation, it includes a 60-minute spa treatment and a £50 allocation towards dinner.
The Spa at Breedon Priory is a purpose-built retreat where you can enjoy time to yourself or with your best friends. The pool is a particular feature, but if you're visiting for a special occasion then The Hideaway is perfect. It's a private space away from the rest of the spa for you to have all to yourselves, complete with a double treatment room, private lounge area, shower area, outdoor hot tub, mini bar, fire pit and double lounger, and you can spend your day there, even booking treatments, lunch, afternoon tea and ordering drinks as you go about your day.
I love this spa, and it's in the heart of an incredible city, perfect for a pre-wedding weekend getaway with your best friends or your partner. The spa is award-winning and adult-only, with lots of gorgeous facilities including Caribbean storm and Arctic rain experience showers, as well as hanging pods, ergonomic sleep chambers and sound-cancelling egg chairs in the relaxation areas. I highly recommend making it an overnight break because the hotel is stylish, sophisticated, and in an amazing location for a night out.
The approach at Lifehouse is to treat the mind and body as a whole. The aim is to help you rediscover your natural joie de vivre and sooth your frayed nerves. An adult-only oasis where you can enjoy an escape from the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, your spa break can include your choice from an extensive range of facials, massages, scrubs and wraps, a swim in the pool, a stroll round the heritage listed gardens, and of course fabulous food. They even have their very own healer offering skilled and soothing holistic therapy.
This five star hotel and spa in Surrey have a long-standing reputation for being amongst the best in the business. Both the hotel and spa are exceptional and are destinations in their own right. Whether brides-to-be visit for a day or overnight, it's a chance to feel truly spoiled and a great way to relax after all the stress of wedding planning. The hotel is a Tudor manor house that's been transformed for contemporary decadence. The Latymer restaurant boasts a Michelin Star and five AA Rosettes, and there's also another award-winning restaurant in the hotel and a dedicated spa restaurant. The spa sits in its own building within the grounds, spanning 45,000 sq. ft and a wealth of indoor and outdoor facilities including a ballroom pool with underwater music, and thermal pools where you can swim from inside out. There’s also private cabanas in the gardens, each complete with a copper bath, loungers, a fridge filled with drinks, tea and coffee facilities. Furthermore, the treatments are second to none, using Spanish brand, Natura Bissé - if you want to glow on your wedding day you have to try their facials!
Another London destination, and it's really hard not to love this one. Shangri-La The Shard, London is perfect for pre-wedding spa days, whether it's with friends, your partner or taking some time to yourself. It can be all about luxury, enjoying time in their incredible infinity sky pool overlooking London's skyline, followed by deeply relaxing Neal’s Yard treatments. Alternatively, you can embrace some of their seriously high tech wellness facilities to help you look and feel your best in the lead up to your big day. Their Body Assessment and unique TecnoBody® D-Wall, for example, give you an in-depth analysis of posture as well as heart, lung, muscular and neuromuscular function, so you can really target your wellness goals.
At the prestigious Cambridge Country Club on the outskirts of Cambridge, the wellness experience combines luxury and wellness in glorious style. The purpose-built day spa is surrounded by verdant grounds and gardens, while inside it takes you on a journey through best-in-class facilities. There are five treatment rooms with Elemis therapies, dedicated manicure/ pedicure lounges and a brand-new wellness bar. Their Blissful Spa Day is just the ticket for pre-wedding vibes, complete with a personalised facial and lunch with your girls.
Set within the magnificent Corinthia Hotel London, ESPA Life is the perfect combination of wellness and luxury. The location could not be better for a spa day with friends, just a stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square, Westminster and Covent Garden. The spa is like a cocoon away from the outside world, bringing together Chinese medicine and modern science in their treatments alongside really gorgeous facilities like an amphitheatre sauna, marble heated loungers, and private sleep pods. Afterwards I highly recommend heading into the hotel for cocktails with friends to celebrate the occasion.
What I love about Manor House Hotel - Alsager is that it's perfect for quality time with friends. It's stylish and has amazing facilities and treatments, but it's also really laid back and welcoming. Throughout my life I can't begin to explain how privileged I have been to have wonderful friends around me, and I think that making space to celebrate with them specifically is really important before your wedding. Manor House Hotel - Alsager is the perfect destination for just that, thanks to its English Country Spa Garden experience with a 'secret' garden where you can gather together, as well as a swim-up bar - the only one of its kind in the UK. Treatments from TRIBE517 make you feel completely loved (as you should), and you can continue the celebrations with dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, Stables Bar & Grill, afterwards. Their bottomless brunches are especially popular.
For something truly glamorous with your friends, head to W London, Away Spa. Described as the perfect place to retox and detox, this Soho-based hotel and spa has a distinct party vibe and is a favourite amongst celebrities. Enjoy sky-high spa treatments on the sixth floor, sip cocktails and feel red-carpet-ready - it will definitely get you into the celebratory mood.
