Whether you like a good glass of Cabernet Sauvignon or not, delicious spa brand Caudalie's vinotherapy spa treatments are good for mind, body and soul.

We’re in the season of merriment, and with it we can all look forward to a good glass of wine, but nowhere does it quite like spa brand Caudalie, whose innovative vinotherapy spa treatments offer a whole new level of wellbeing indulgence.

Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe you haven’t, but vinotherapy is a very real and very beautiful thing to enjoy on your next spa break, thanks to spa brand Caudalie, who bring a collection of face and body treatments to spas around the world - including a few favourites at Spabreaks.com. Here we take a moment to learn a little more about the brand and their unique skincare products, including their Crushed Cabernet Back Treatment.

What you need to know about Caudalie and vinotherapy

A little background on Caudalie themselves to start off with. Founded by Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas in the 1990s, their journey began, appropriately, in Bordeaux amongst the vines at Château Smith Haut Lafitte, the estate belonging to Mathilde’s parents. Realising that grape seeds contain some of the most powerful antioxidants in the world, they began working with professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux.

Soon their first product, the Beauty Elixir, a 100% plant-based formula became a cult classic, loved by celebrities, make-up artists and beauty junkies all around the world. Since then, the brand has gone from strength to strength, but it’s still rooted in those all important vines and they are at the heart of a vinotherapy movement offering indulgence and rejuvenation powered by grapes.

Naturally, this is an act that spas have wanted to follow, and are able to do so through Caudalie’s beautiful spa treatments, products and protocols. Cottons Hotel and Spa in Cheshire, as well as Quob Park Rose Spa in Fareham (where they also have their own vineyard) are both great examples, with vinotherapy spa treatments included in many of their packages.

Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Back Treatment

A 55-minute indulgent therapie, Caudalie's Crushed Cabernet Back Treatment incorporates one of the most popular scrubs from the Vinothérapie® Spas. This exfoliation technique regains your skin’s radiance and softness, providing optimum opportunity for the skin to absorb all the hydrating ingredients to follow. Caudalie has developed this scrub with a base of grape-seed, honey, brown sugar and essential oils.

The Caudalie signature massage follows, using the Contouring Concentrate, which stimulates the systems of the body and encourages natural elimination of toxins. An ideal treatment for relieving tension, invigorating your mind & body. Your skin will be left feeling clean, refined and perfectly smooth.
