The building itself has an 1860s Venetian palazzo facade in pink Cheshire brick complete with iron pillars and pitch pine beams. Inside, they fuse the historic features with contemporary updates - bespoke cherry and walnut furniture, solid oak and birch, alongside crisp white linens, exposed brick and vast windows where the property has been updated. The former warehouse of a coach and carriage builders, Hope Street Hotel wears its history on its sleeve, naming its popular restaurant The London Carriage Works - a term found carved in the stone lintel above the front door during the initial renovation.
