In its third year, the World Spa Awards were revealed at a dazzling ceremony, which took place at the glamorous JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay.
Amongst the winners was Lanserhof Tegernsee, the renowned German health centre which walked away with the esteemed title of World’s Best Medical Spa. Meanwhile, QMS MediCosmetics successfully defended its title as World’s Best Spa Brand for the third consecutive year, and our longstanding friends at Aromatherapy Associates were named World’s Best Aromatherapy Brand.
In a move which indicated the spa trends for 2018, this year saw the wellness retreat category come to the forefront of the awards with winners including Atmantan Wellness Resort which was voted India’s Best Wellness Retreat, The Orchard Wellness & Health Retreat which picked up the award for Malaysia’s Best Wellness Retreat, and Amuna Ayurveda Retreat, soon to come to Spabreaks.com, which was recognised as Sri Lanka’s Best Wellness Retreat.
The awards included a weekend of events, not least of all, seeing guests invited to engage in an Aromatherapy Associates Sleep Workshop. The brand, built on “a simple pursuit - sharing the true power of essential oils and the incredible effects they have at a therapeutic level,” it was founded by Geraldine Howard, who sadly passed away in 2016, but who’s dedication and legacy lives on through her beautiful brand.
Global CEO and Chairman of Aromatherapy Associates, Tracey Woodward said on LinkedIn: “Proud of my team and all we have achieved this year, thank you World Spa Awards! Thank You to my team for all their efforts commitment and support.”
