Find out more

Best known for her appearances on Nickelodeon, CiTV, and Daybreak, presenter, Anna Williamson has been on stage and screen since her early teens, and spends a large part of her time stalking celebs on the red carpet we caught up with her to find out if she ever gets time to relax!

What is your average day like?

Due to my job as a TV presenter and an entertainment journalist, I never have two weeks the same, which I really like; it keeps me on my toes and enthusiastic.  If I had to round it up though, an average day would consist of getting up around 8am, breakfast of poached eggs on toast and a strong coffee, and then it’s off into town (London) for meetings, filming, general schmoozing. I like to pop to the gym, cook or eat out with my boyfriend or friends if I have a night off, but due to my job, I’m often seen stalking a red carpet interviewing celebs of an evening.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The variety and the people; I love live TV the most, its really rather exhilarating (and petrifying) knowing you’re live to the whole nation.  I’ve been in TV for 14 years now and I still get nervous, which is great as it shows I care and want to do my best.  I’m my own worst critic!

What’s the strangest experience you have had in your career?

Ooh too many to list … one of the most memorable for its sheer bizarreness would have to be a few years ago whilst filming in rural China for GMTV when I was offered snake penis wine as an aperitif - I kid you not! Suffice to say, I politely declined.

What’s your idea of the perfect day of relaxation?

I’m a sucker for a massage. I have them regularly to help my migraines and general wellbeing, I just love them, its the ultimate ‘me’ time. A perfect day would be a spa day where I can lie by the pool reading a good book, interspersed with some lovely pampering treatments.  I am partial to the odd Murad and Marie Reynolds facial too.

What do you do to stay in shape?

I try to work out three times a week.  Running, aerobics, kettle bells, body conditioning, Pilates … variety is the key for me so I don’t get bored. I also try not to stuff my face too much after 6pm.

Do you have a favourite spa treatment or one you would like to try?

Murad and Marie Reynolds Image Skincare facials are lush. I also love Tui Na which is acupuncture mixed with a massage.  It’s pure relaxation and rejuvenation. I’d like to try this ‘cupping’ craze that seems to be getting celebs excited.

When are you at your happiest?

When I’m with my family on a Sunday enjoying a good roast and banter.  We’ve done the same routine since we were kids and it’s when I’m most happy, grateful, and grounded.

When do you feel at your most glamorous?

When I’ve been glammed by my wonderful friends, and stylist and makeup artists, Charlotte Adsett and Jo Adams.  These girls are the best and I’d not grace a red carpet without them working their magic.

Do you have a ‘desert island’ beauty product?

Murad Active Radiance Serum - it’s truly amazing.

Top tip for looking and feeling your best when you have a hectic schedule?

Sleep as much as you can, even though it might mean being the boring one going to bed early. Drink water, avoid booze and ensure you have a good skincare routine to keep you looking fresh.

Complete this sentence:  A beautiful woman is … someone who loves who they are, yet humble, and appreciates life.
