- The restaurant smelt like an old people’s home and the staff were not very friendly and on arriving implied we should have pre ordered our food when we were unaware of this. We thought we had a 2 course lunch with our package but were offered either one large plate option or 2 small plate option. We chose a large plate option which although tasty had 1/2 a sandwich worth of food on the plates (some salmon and two tiny triangles of bread- a starter sized plate of food). This left us both hungry. The spa entrance and treatment area was lovely bright modern and welcoming. The actual spa area was dated and quite cold so difficult to sit and relax once wet from the pool, sauna or steam room and there were only 4 chairs around to sit and relax in . We were glad we only had a couple of hours before our treatment so we could get warm again. The treatments were excellent.
- It was a disappointing morning, I had been to this spa in the past and it no longer has the same appeal or magic, the facilities are tired and in need of repair, it just was not the spa experience I thought it would be. Massage was over before it began and did not even feel like a massage. Servers did not tell us what our soup was, service was totally lacking, had to look for someone to help us on more than one occasion it was not great.

- We were greeted by a delightful young lady, who was helpful and efficient. Our standard double was just right for our one night stay. The bed was comfortable with so many pillows. The huge bathroom had a bath and the shower was one that has to be held. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant as ‘fine dining’ menus don’t really appeal to us. The breakfast was excellent with a delicious selection from the cold buffet followed by hot cooked food. The hotel is family friendly and offer many things to enable families to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff are very gracious and work hard to make the guests’ stay really special.
