Third Space is not a spa. It’s a busy gym with treatment rooms attached and a pool. There’s no sufficient place to relax after the treatment. Only two loungers in a pokey corner by the pool. You feel a bit like an imposter because the changing area is full of gym members. It’s busy and so not very relaxing. The layout of the place is pokey and confusing, like a rabbit warren. The lunch was disappointing too. The starter and the ambiance was great! But the main meal I chose, risotto, was very underwhelming and tasted mainly of stock cubes. I paid £113 for a 50 minute massage, relaxation time in the spa and a 2 course meal with a nice glass of champagne. I do not think it was worth the money.

The reception from the gym was such a shamble. Firstly, we were shown where to go but up to the stairs going to the spa only. When we reached the spa reception there was no one. We wasted 15 mins in the reception until my friend decided to go upstairs back to the gym reception. Another staff intervened as she was not getting any help. It was our first time there and the staff treated us like we knew the place well. Then as we were leaving they managed to muddle up my friend’s oyster card as she was returning her padlock. This took another 10 mins. Luckily my friend have an oyster card account and they found her oyster card in another slot. We did not even got an apology instead we were just told it was just a case of “bad luck!” The therapists and the treatment itself were lovely. The customer service in the reception area unfortunately needs a whole lot of improvement.

We were shown down to an empty spa by staff and then spent a good few minutes wondering around a gym looking out of place trying to find someone to help us. We were then given one padlock, despite most of the lockers being in separate male and female changing rooms. The pool and steam room were nice but the whole facility is more health club than spa so there were only two loungers by the pool. As it is used more by members and due to the lack of relaxing space, it wasn't the type of place you felt relaxed by a pool so we couldn't have spent more than two hours using the facilities without feeling uncomfortable. There is also no easily accessible internet. The staff in the treatment area were lovely and I was really impressed by the treatment. The staff there slightly redeemed our otherwise disappointing weekend

    Excellent
The whole day was fabulous, the Spa treatment (facial) was sublime and the restaurant food and staff were exceptional. Highly recommend this spa break.
