Rowton Hall Country House Hotel and Spa

Beautiful surroundings. The staff are fantastic and really friendly and helpful. The food was incredible especially the breakfast. So much choice and variety! I can’t wait to book again with Rowton Hall and will definitely be returning again. I even had a four poster bed which I wasn’t expecting so that was a wonderful surprise. Thank you for such a lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay.

Not truely happy with our stay. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and where very disappointed staff didn’t seem to know what they where doing, we got moved from a table we where seated at to then be seated at the same table 2 mins later after the member of staff triple checked our booking and realised they got it wrong and we where in the correct seating, we also requested water for the table 3 times and after an hour of being there it then arrived. The food was really not nice I had the mushroom gnocchi and it looked like swamp water and was way too salty and I couldn’t eat it, we mentioned it to a the waiter and just got told she would tell the chef nothing else was offered and we got charged fully for the meal, also one of the waiters was quite rude and made us not want to eat there again hence why we didn’t complain or ask for it to be removed from our bill. Room wasn’t a garden view like we should have had and was very dated, every floorboard creaked and just felt very dingy, nothing like the photos online also the room was freezing cold with a small space heater in the large room with wooden windows so did little to nothing to make it even slightly warm, shower was broken and we chose to shower instead in the spa as it was less hassle than trying to request a room change. Bed was 2 single beds pushed together that where different hights and where extremely firm mattresses so after a massage and feeling quite relaxed it defeated the point of a massage in total. All in all really disappointed wish I had slept in my car where I would have been warm and more comfortable in truth.

Thus was a birthday treat for my husband. We booked a spa & hotel package. The staff were so helpful and our room was upgraded and a beautiful birthday plate was a lovely surprise. The food in the restaurant was delicious. All the staff were wonderful and always helpful from the time we arrived to our departure. We had a wonderful stay. Thankyou .

Had to change rooms as the first room wasn't 4 star worthy. The carpet looked dirty, the towel rail had marks on it, there was a dead fly on the window sill,there were marks on the wall paper. The lady in reception kindly gave a different room which was much nicer however the water temperature in the shower was either too hot or cold. None of the rooms had AC. The food was amazing and tasty.

Very cosy room, needed updating but nice. Fantastic food !!
