    It is not clear what Chesford are trying to accomplish. The staff were really lovely, but the facilities are terrible. There were at least 8 people on a Spa day, possibly more, yet there are only 5 beds to relax on. And no other comfortable chairs to relax on - the whole point of a Spa is to be able to stretch out, and relax for the day. Then at 12.30 the manager came in and started playing really loud music, and I discovered there was an Aqua exercise class at 1.00pm. Seriously? How are you supposed to relax with that noise going on? It was cold in reception where we waited for our treatments, and the only other place to sit.

    We had a wonderful day thank you starting with our arrival at the spa where we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who explained everything very clearly to us. We were given comfy robes and towels and the treatments my friend and I received were quite amazing. The excellent therapists talked us through the whole session and provided guidance as to what we should do next. This was followed by a relaxing time in the pool and steam room followed by a lovely lunch ( with good range of choices) accompanied by a glass of fizz. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and eager to please. Overall it was a very enjoyable day.

    There wasn't a jacuzzi or sauna in the spa, which you'd expect as standard facilities. The dining area was a bit business like but the food and service were good. Our room was clean and comfortable and was in state of repair apart from the slightly ragged curtains.

    I can’t fault the treatments. The spa area itself felt grubby & unloved. It needs an upgrade. The covers on the loungers were dirty & past their best. The treatment rooms were underneath another floor that was extremely noisy & spoilt the experience. The actual treatment was fabulous.
