Nidd Hall

Wow, what an incredible experience we had. What a hotel! We enjoyed it so much and will struggle to keep this review short. Ill start with the outstanding staff... from the room cleaners, reception staff, bar team, waiters, entertainment team, spa staff... everyone was so friendly, helpful and kind. I do want to give a shout out to three members of staff in particular though. 1. Emma (spa) - my mum was overwhelmed by the incredible massage she had - she couldn't believe the care that Emma put into the massage. She was blown away, and would not (will not) stop talking about it! Emma - thank you for making my mum's birthday gift so special! You are a credit to Nidd Hall, and we will absolutely be back again because of you. 2. Luke (Rawson Restaurant) - another outstanding member of staff. The best waiter we've ever come across, somehow makes every single person feel so special and valued and it doesn't feel fake or forced - it feels so genuine. He got us talking to other guests and has an incredible energy that is so infectious... he is an absolute credit to Nidd Hall. Another reason why we'll be back... look after this gem of a human Nidd Hall, as he brings back so many customers! 3. Tim (Rawson Restaurant) - a lovely, helpful and hardworking member of staff who should also receive credit. He was working away so hard at all meal times and was so kind and friendly. Another credit to the hotel! The range of activities on and the standard was so impressive. The evening entertainment was fantastic! (Comedian, musical evening and Jodie/Northern lights band. The rooms were beautiful. The spa was lovely and well kept. The grounds were impressive and so well kept. Room for improvement - we stayed in room 91, on the ground floor and would request not to stay in a ground floor room again in the future, as we were woken up by the room above us moving around at all hours. They weren't being purposefully noisy, but the floorboards were just so creaky that it affected our sleep. - games room. Could do with updated snooker cues, as many of them were split. - better directions to find room (e.g. told which lifts to use for certain rooms)

Beautifully located hotel just outside Harrogate and within a short walk of Ripley. Main restaurant design gives it a cosy feel but the tables are very close together and are really small. Food variety and quality was good. Spa and leisure facilities excellent. A large swimming pool, great for lap swimming and large sauna and steam rooms. Overall a good experience, I would go back.

We were in a standard room which was a good size and had a fridge but no bottled water was supplied, when we asked we were told water only supplied in Signature rooms which we weren't happy about. Also should have had robes and temple spa gift in room which girl on reception said she d never heard of. Eventually spa manager brought our gifts and some water.

Had a lovely 2 days stay spa break with my daughter. Hall is beautiful and grounds are amazing. Very comfortable room. Staff were lovely. Food was good, if a little basic, with plenty of choice.
