    My husband and I spent my Birthday here and had a lovely time, he loved the sauna, we both loved the pool, the massage and food were both lovely, this is our second visit and definitely won’t be our last

    this spa is a bit "tired" and in need of renovation -real shame as the "concept" is great with the indoor/outdoor swimming pool! the ladies changing rooms are minuscule - the door opens straight into where you have to change, so if anyone is coming in, you are in full sight of the corridor. (there is a small cubicle in addition). The sunbeds outdoors need to be replaced - and would be nice if they had cushions - it does state that there are male therapists also but be nice to know before and given a choice as not everyone feels comfortable with this. The afternoon tea was v average - the bread was not v fresh - overall the visit was v average but the great weather on the day meant I got to enjoy the outdoor pool. A hiccup with my treatment was handled well however on the day (on my suggestion). What I didnt appreciate was the therapist telling me to constantly relax during my massage - literally every 2 minutes! (the lack of relaxation was due to the fact I had not wanted a male therapist!) - overall in need of an overhaul! However I do want to thank them for sorting my treatment issue.

    The pool area and outdoor pool are nice (very highly heated). However, the changing rooms and other communal areas need a really good clean and there was only 1 member of staff dealing with the spa reception, taking / serving food and drinks orders, supplying towels/robes etc and dealing with ad hoc questions from guests. This meant it was very difficult to speak to her (not a criticism of her personally as she was great, but clearly needed more staff to support her).

    Have a fabulous day at Fredricks Spa. The staff in the spa were super lovely and very friendly. The afternoon tea came out promptly and we all enjoyed it. We had great weather when we went and was lucky enough to sit outside in the sun, which was a lovely addition. Overall we had a lovely day and it was good value for money.
