There was no hot water, so the pool and showers were cold. The jacuzzi was also out of order. We were not informed of any of this before we arrived, and were still not informed of the hot water until we reported it later and they said they already knew, just hadn’t told us. The beds by the saunas etc also smell like feet so could do with a clean to enable it to be a relaxing experience. The facilities otherwise were plentiful and the treatments were lovely. Enjoyed the relaxation room. The food was really tasty for lunch and there was a lovely vibe - unfortunately service was very slow and it made us late for our first treatment, but if we had all the time in the world then it is a really nice place to sit and relax, enjoy a drink and the views of the gardens. Overall we really enjoyed the day, there were just a couple of things that could easily be improved to make it perfect. I hope to come back again in future when some of these circumstances are resolved.

Our booking stated we could use the spa facilities from 10 on the day of arrival so we arrived at 11.15 and went directly to the spa. I told the person behind the counter that we had a booking through spabreaks. He did not seem to be interested and asked if we were just there to use the facilities then asked us to sign in on a sheet. We could have been anybody and were not asked for proof that we were staying at the hotel. We were given towels and not offered a rob, despite the spabreaks information saying this would be provided. Other people in the spa had robes. The jacuzzi was out of order but the other facilities were all working and there was a good range including two steam rooms, two saunas and an ice room. The pool was a bit cold for a spa pool - more like an exercise pool. The loungers were comfortable. We were not given any directions on how to get through to the hotel bar to order food or drinks and would not have wanted to without getting dressed so we made-do until we'd had enough time in the spa and could check into our room. Unable to rate the treatments as we didn't book any. I would go back as the hotel was excellent but I would ask for the robe and would be more prepared with food and drink.

Very disappointed in this spa, I had high hopes. The pool and spa facilities were very dated and grubby and not enough seating so my partner actually had to no where to relax. The pool area was being painted so myself and another person actually got paint all down us. We got a deal with lunch and a treatment, my partner had a sandwich which was on stale bread and my chicken salad was boring and had very limp lettuce. The massage was okay, however I felt very sorry to the masseuse who worked alone with back to back clients and barely 5 minutes between them. Not what I expected paying a high price.

I booked this for my sister and I for her 40th birthday. When we arrived we were informed the jacuzzi was out of order and had been for two weeks. We had not been here before. No one showed us around we were just told where things were and we just had to find out ourselves. The pool, lounge area and steam room were nice. The experienced showers were also not working. We were bothed booked in for our treatments at the same time. The treatment itself was very good but unfortunately I could not relax as the room was freezing cold all I kept thinking was my sister would be feeling the same and be disappointed with her birthday treat! We were then shown the relax room where thank god they had blankets in there for us to warm up. Also drink stations weren’t very clear there was one in the spa or gym. None around the other stuff! The only thing we throughly enjoyed was the lunch. I was disappointed with my purchase and would not recommend a friend to go here due to our experience
