As a rule we accept that chlorine is a necessary part of using a swimming pool, keeping it clean and avoiding the onset of algae, which I for one am grateful for in all swimming experiences.
Whether it’s one of the stories plastered across the Internet however, or simply that it irritates and dries out your skin and care, more and more people are looking to avoid this common disinfectant in favour of alternatives, and a number of spas are paying attention.
Here’s a couple of places where chlorine is no longer on the guestlist…
A favourite amongst footballers and other celebs, The Grove in Hertfordshire is all about luxury and while their main pool still uses chlorine, the vitality pool (larger than a Jacuzzi, but not the place to be doing lengths) complete with jets and general chilling space uses Ozone instead - relaxation for mind, body and soul.
A rare find in the heart of the city, but at The Landmark nothing is too good for their guests with a chlorine free heated pool for total peace of mind.
