Health is the new wealth
How we're all prioritising our wellbeing with new opportunities and wellness trends providing scope for different wants, needs, and interests, from spas to self-care.
Read full postWith the coronavirus pandemic, it’s understandable that anyone with plans in place to go on a spa break in the coming days and weeks will have concerns. So what can you do if you have a spa break booked with Spabreaks.com?
Current government advice is to avoid unnecessary travel, and while we like to think of a spa break as one of life’s essentials, spas are about improving health and wellbeing, not risking it. As advice is likely to extend to higher levels of isolation in the coming days and weeks, postponing spa days and breaks booked for between March and the end of June is the best course of action. That way, you still have a well-deserved spa break to look forward to, you’re just going to have to wait a little longer. What’s that they say about delayed gratification?
Furthermore, many spas across the UK and Ireland have now closed for two weeks or more as a precautionary measure to help contain the spread of the virus. Our spa partners are nothing if not extremely mindful and vigilant when it comes to health and wellbeing. If this is the case regarding a destination you have booked, then we will contact you to arrange an alternative date for your booking.
At the moment, any spa days and breaks that are booked for June and beyond, we would recommend leaving in place whilst monitoring the situation over the coming weeks. We will of course update you with any new advice and information as and when we can.
With all of this in mind, we are offering a “Book with Confidence” promise. This allows customers who have already made bookings for future dates to change the date of arrival, without penalty or charge, provided that we are able to give the spas 48 hours notice** of your intention to change your booking.
Our team is on hand and answering phone calls, instant chat messages, emails and Facebook messages as we type. They are responding to all customer enquiries as quickly as possible and are mindful that everyone is anxious and concerned about what’s happening and when. So please do contact us, and rest assured that we will answer or respond as soon as possible to help you with your questions and bookings.
Absolutely. While there is a huge amount of concern and anxiety around, we’re also aware that we all need a little respite to look forward to. While we cannot be fully certain of when that may be, we are hopeful and positive about the coming months.
So how can you look forward to a spa break whilst still being sensible about the unfolding events around coronavirus? Well, you can still make bookings for the coming months, and as of 13th March, when it was introduced, our “Book with Confidence” promise continues to apply to spa breaks postponed because of coronavirus.
Alternatively, you can purchase spa gift vouchers, which come in a variety of options and are valid for up to one year from purchase. It’s a particularly good solution if you’re still looking to treat someone for their birthday or a special occasion!
Wishing you health and happiness, and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
