Summer's here which can only mean one thing... there's even more golf on the TV. From 16th to 23rd July golf fans around the world can delight in the drama of The Open Championship, the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious.
Named because it is in theory 'open' to all professional and amateur golfers, in reality today the event is a professional tournament that's also played by a small number of the world's leading amateurs who join by invitation or qualification. Still - the rest of us can dream.
This year, the 151st Open takes place at Royal Liverpool, which last hosted the event in 2014 when Rory McIlroy lifted the Claret Jug. The event has been held and celebrated at the prestigious club on multiple occasions and this is bound to be just as special.
For those of us at home and inspired to get out on the course - these are some of our top recommendations.
