I normally do not write reviews however I felt that I needed to as it was not a good experience. We arrived at the spa and it smelt beautiful and the lady on reception was really friendly. The changing rooms were nice and well managed with the bracelets. The spa itself looked a bit tired. There aren’t any seating areas really to relax if the whirlpool is busy. We had a LED facial treatment booked and they made the appointment time for 10am (no choice of times). It’s lovely upstairs and the waiting area is lovely. However, me and my daughter got called for our treatment and made our way over. I thought it was a consult to start with as it was in the main waiting area. But NO that was the start of the treatment in front of everyone having a facial. I just couldn’t relax and my daughter felt the same. The LED treatment and facial is nice but it’s 30 mins and most of that time you have a bright flashing orange light in your eyes. She told us to keep our eyes closed which we did. But you cannot relax at all. I thought maybe they would put something over your eyelids to stop that horrible flashing. When the machine turns off you are in utter darkness for the first few minutes until you regain your vision again. After that we made our way back to the spa as drinks aren’t available until 1pm. Just be mindful if you book a facial then to do it in the afternoon. All the oils from the facial in the jacuzzi and sauna was hiring our eyes. After this we made our way to the pool and there they had recliner beds. The pool itself was freezing - everyone was joking about who would be brave enough to get in. At a spa this is unacceptable. Then there were children in the pool jumping around splashing doing somersaults. Don’t get me wrong I love that children enjoy themselves but when you spend so much money for the spa you expect a relaxing experience. The food was ok but lots of jarred pickles and olives. Salad dressings from a shop. Sliced eggs and crispy onions - again thought it would be a lot nicer. Overall I wouldn’t return here and felt I wasted a lot of money

I left feeling genuinely disappointed. I had expected a serene, restorative experience, but what I got felt more like an all-inclusive hotel than a spa. The service was impersonal and transactional, we weren’t made to feel special at any point. It felt more like being herded through a process than being cared for. Even the environment didn’t allow for proper relaxation. There was nowhere in the spa to simply unwind, unless you were actively using the facilities like the sauna or jacuzzi, which obviously aren’t places where you can read or just sit quietly. If you wanted to truly relax, you had to leave the spa building entirely and go to a separate leisure area with a pool and loungers. For a place meant to offer calm and comfort, the whole setup felt disjointed, inflexible, and ultimately quite disappointing.

    Excellent
This was my third spa day and is now a regular treat for myself and a friend, so that we can unwind from our busy jobs and lives. Absolutely love the various saunas and steam rooms and the cleanliness and calming atmosphere. Lovely soft robes and nice sized towels. Great lunchtime buffet choices (and I’m a difficult to feed vegetarian). 10/10 staff are all lovely and therapists well trained and professional. Always feel welcome and completely relaxed afterwards.

    Excellent
We had a lovely time. All staff were very kind and helpful, although I do feel the spa staff at the downstairs reception were pre-occupied and did not provide enough detail to enable us to understand the full set up quickly. Luckily, we met people in the changing room who had visited previously and they gave us the detail we needed to access all that was on offer.
