The spa staff were really good, but the afternoon tea was terrible! The sandwich came out with cling film on them and the scone were soft and very cheap worse than the basics range scones you could buy from a supermarket. The facilities didn’t even have a relaxation room and only 4 tiles needs for all 30 odd users so can’t relax! I wouldn’t go there again as not worth the money at all. We even had to wait 20 minutes for the sandwiches after the tea had come. Don’t go to the Welcombe for a Spa day

    Poor
Extremely disappointed at our visit to Welcombe, the afternoon tea was very poor, the sandwiches and the cakes were all hard and dry like they had been sat out for hours and left us feeling sick. The facilities were also very poor, the changing rooms were dirty it didn’t make you want to have a shower. There was no loungers to lie on round the pool like the photos, just chairs that were uncomfortable. The Sauna smelt bad. After just over an hour we left as it was not a good experience.

    Excellent
What a gorgeous place. So nicely decorated inside and beautiful building too. Staff lovely. Nice young lad on reception. Brilliant outside jacuzzi. Head neck and shoulder massage from therapist (Flo i think her name was?!) Was absolutely brilliant, just what I needed. The only reason for 1 star for food was that I didn't eat anything but did enjoy my free cup of tea. Shame it was in a take out cup though not a proper tea cup. Would have put 5 stars for facilities but only drop in stars was because most of the showers in the ladies changing room had run out of shampoo and shower gel and I had to go to 3 different showers to find some. Other than that, best spa day ever :)

    Excellent
Excellent. The only small criticism, the café area was freezing especially as you're sitting around in robes.

We had a lovely afternoon at the spa with a relaxing massage which was wonderful and so discreetly done. The room was very relaxing and comfortable.
