    Overall we had a really lovely afternoon. The location was beautiful and our afternoon tea was freshly prepared and delicious. The facilities that we saw/used ie the pool, jacuzzi & steam room were lovely however we were disappointed (and surprised) to have to ask for toilet paper to be provided in the ladies changing room and also the lock on the toilet door was a nail banged into the door attached to a makeshift lock, rather than being a proper fitting. The hot stones massage treatments were lovely, however the communication differed between the two therapists that saw us. I was guided through the process and asked whether there were any areas I wanted to be avoided, and how much pressure I would like, whereas my daughter did not get such a full consultation beforehand. We were also not told where to go to meet our therapists for our treatments. We felt like the spa would benefit from a relaxation area as well as the treatment rooms (unless this was something we weren’t shown).

    For a 5 star elite spa I expected a lot more from the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa. Whilst its beautiful property on a prestige road the spa it definitely not at elite level. I would say it’s more a 4-star spa. Here is why: • There is no relaxing area for before/during/after treatment where you can chill and have refreshments • You are only given 1 hour to use the wet facilities and only 15mins to show and change – you would expect to do this more relaxingly give the high price you pay. I asked for more time as I don’t think you should be rush and what if the changing room was busy, you can’t be ready in 15mins • The changing rooms need an upgrade, the shower area in particular. I would also expect better amenities for example there no face / skin care products apart from a toner – what about cleanser, cotton buds or even a straightener? I been to lower grade spas that have this facility • I wasn’t offered my champagne and chocolates. I had to ask for it to be served in the bar so I could order some food. Even then they forgot the chocolates The saving grace was the treatment, my therapist was great and I would recommend her but don’t think I will visit the spa again. I can get better value for money elsewhere.

    I had the best massage for a long time, deep and long as I like it, I felt fantastic afterwards!!! The masseuse was excellent!! I spent one hour in the spa and it was very relaxing ! I had a really nice time

    My daughter and I came to the Spa on 28.3.23. I cannot recommend the staff, service, atmosphere, cleanliness and facilities highly enough. We were made to feel special,that nothing was too much trouble and that we were valued guests. The afternoon tea was delicious. Will highly recommend
