- We had the most amazing evening meal at the Morritt and the breakfast was also excellent quality - it’s pricey but value for money given what we had. On arrival our booking wasn’t found although we had already been in the spa. This was quickly resolved and we were allocated our booked superior room and we were so disappointed! It was at the end of an annex and although really great size, it had two really small side windows on either side of the room that had been frosted over, there was an inadequate tea tray (1 English breakfast teabag). Only one dressing gown although the belt for the second was found along with two pairs of slippers. The bathroom had really good quality soap dispensers but these were half full and one broken dispenser. The attention to detail and overall look of our room was poor, the carpet was damaged with burns from hair straighteners and an iron - investment is definitely needed to bring this hotel up to scratch. I booked this spa break for a special birthday treat but it fell short of the mark for me.
