- From when we arrived to when we left we had an amazing spa experience. Everything was explained to us very well by James and our therapists were also knowledgeable. The facilities were clean and well maintained

- The treatments were booked at the same time as the afternoon tea and the spa staff were insistent that the treatments had to be done there and then. We had travelled nearly two hours in slow traffic and was ready for lunch and a drink but they were quite bossy about one of us having our treatment immediately whilst the other would have had to hang around waiting to eat. We refused as we had come to spend quality time together not on our own. We still didn’t end up with treatments at the same time but at least we managed to eat together.Every spa break we’ve had together has been arranged so we could have treatments and eat together as what is the point in going with friends? Afternoon tea was disappointing, cheap cakes and the sandwiches were okay but no garnish so it was all sweet and very little savoury. The spa itself was lovely. Treatments and the therapists were great and we would thoroughly recommend them. Facilities good but quite a few lockers were broken and the items for drying your hair. The main point of the spa was that staff need to up their game in how they treat customers.

- The hotel staff were welcoming and professional from start to finish, we couldn’t fault anything. We had a spa treatment as well and it was amazing value for money. The room was huge and clean and we had a view of the back of the hotel with the gardens so it was very quiet. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Would definitely stay again thanks
- Lovely hotel in the center of Harrogate. Everything was perfect. Great food. The room was spacious. All good.
- The room was spacious and comfortable. I was impressed by the size of the room. The beds were comfy and we slept well. We were very happy with the food in the evening and the breakfast. It was to a high standard and the staff were over to our table straight away if we needed another drink or were trying to get their attention. We would stay again in future
- The welcome was friendly and we were allowed to our room at 11:30 which was a great start. The hotel is an elegant building, grand and imposing but it was rather cold on such a blustery autumn day. The room and bathroom was large with good facilities. Our spa visit was excellent and included a delicious lunch.Our experience changed early evening when the calm and peace turned into chaos. We came to the hotel bar to find none of the furniture in the room and the bar area was crammed with wedding guests with half a dozen shrieking children running amok. The pa system and music dominated in the hotel restaurant and at first was rather disappointing. However we received a warm welcome, great service and an excellent meal and wine. Our compliments to the chef.We left to find a quiet bar for a drink to be told that the raucous bar was the only choice unless we returned to the restaurant. Our peaceful sleep was constantly interrupted by noisy children running along our corridor, and knocking on our door between 2 and 3:30 am. We are part of Hilton honours and have enjoyed various trips to Hilton hotels including in Malta, where there were weddings.We have another booking in October in Birmingham. This was not an experience that we have come to expect from Hilton hotels and rather undermined the lovely spa experience.

Designed by architect George Dennis Martin, The Harrogate Spa - Doubletree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa was built in 1989. After years of business and two fires, the hotel was finally rebranded in 2016 with a £15 million renovation turning it into the hotel we know today.
