In the build up to our visit we received no correspondence about our lunch time booking so I had to email before our visit to enquire about this. It was a good job I asked because they said it was at 12.45pm on the Sunday and all the correspondence prior kept referring to a 3pm check in and 11pm check out. Stating that we could only use the facilities during this time. So we arrived at 12.30pm and went for lunch which was a 3 course, buffet style Sunday roast. The food was excellent and we then checked in at the spa at 2.45pm. We were shown where the facilities were straight away. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got changed and went to the pool area, which was very busy and noisy with lots of children bombing into the pool. We looked for loungers to sit on and there were none available inside. Lots were being saved by towels despite the correspondence from the spa prior to our visit stating that this wasn't allowed. We made the most of sitting on the ones outside for a couple of hours because the pool and jacuzzi etc were full. Our treatment was at 5.30pm and we realised by seeing a couple of other people with drinks, that we could access Roccas bar next door to get drinks to take back with us. So we had a drink then went for our treatment. The lounge upstairs was very relaxing and I had the 25 minute back massage which was also excellent! We went back downstairs to the leisure area and while still very busy, we could now sit inside and use the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There was only a small 1m strip wide area of the pool roped off so that you could use to swim lengths of the pool which meant when other people joined to swim, you bumped into each other as you swam the clockwise direction advertised. We stayed in the area until about 8pm when we went to check in with the hotel for our room.

upon arrival we did not have any gowns in the room, when I went down to the spa desk I was told these wer a £5 charge even though i had booked a spa break package, the staff reccomende3d booking the Fire and Ice experience as this included the gowns and im so glad I did as the sauna, steam and hot tubs in the pool area of the hotel were not the best. the fire and ice experience really made it! staff explained everything and made the experience perfect! we were able to understand what each room does and how it works. highly recommend the Fire and Ice!
