Unfortunately we found the spa to be in desperate need of refurbishment, It’s not clean. The jacuzzi has mould around the tub doesn’t make a pleasant experience at all.

    Good
We booked a spa day package as a pre-wedding treat the weekend before my friend’s big day. The treatments were wonderful and we were welcomed warmly by the staff on arrival. Things just took a downturn when it came to the afternoon tea. The spa had forgotten to send our reservation to the restaurant, so they had no record of our booking or any food prepared for us. We waited around 15-20 mins for them to sort us a table and get us seated - not what we wanted on a special day for our friend. There were also two photo shoots going on with loads of equipment all over the place, which ruined the ambience a little. They then said it would take 20-25 mins to prepare the afternoon tea food as they weren’t expecting us, so I went back down to the spa to see if they could push back the next treatments so the girls wouldn’t have to scoff down their food. Unfortunately this wasn’t possible so we just went ahead with the original plan. The food came out eventually and was all presented well but then we noticed all 7 of the scones had mould on them, and it looked like they’d tried to pick the mould off one of them. We alerted the staff to this and they were very apologetic but couldn’t offer us replacement scones and instead brought out cheesecake… not particularly fitting with afternoon tea but a nice gesture nonetheless. A few in our party also suffered from nausea and an upset stomach later that day, which may have been connected with the afternoon tea. The issues with the food put a bit of a dampener on our day unfortunately, but the treatments were fantastic so it wasn’t a completely tarnished experience. Spa facilities were good overall, lovely pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. I would say it could do with some more seating in the relaxation room or more communal areas to accommodate day spa guests, as there wasn’t an awful lot of space to sit down and chat.
