Queens Hotel & Spa

The decor was really nice a bit tired in places but for the amount we paid I didn’t mind. The food was fantastic!! The spa really let it down not a spa more of a pool area. Jacuzzi was broken so that was annoying. The T.Vs in the rooms were also not working. The rooms are so noisy I first got woken up by the bubbling noisy air con unit , then kept awake man next door snoring, then the bloke upstairs singing at 6 am. You can hear every word from the surrounding rooms so not a restful night but … The room looked nice and had a great big balcony with a side sea view (superior king room) I did enjoy staying there. Great location to walk to the beach & town & overnight parking for only £10

First day we got there was great. Other than the state of our room. We arrived and really struggled for parking. Once we entered out room first glance seems ok but upon inspection there was a massive stain on the carpet with other dirty spots. The wall had makeup down it underneath the mirror and there was sand and dust on pretty much everything. The room was provided with one can of water and tea coffee and sugar but only one can of water was provided and we where told we had to buy a bottle of water if we wanted anymore. Witch is really bad because the tap water has a sign saying not drinking water. The first meal was brilliant but it turns out we where given the wrong menu and would of had to pay for it if we didn't ask the second night on why we had to sign the bill the first night. Second night's menu was in my eyes a disgraceful 3 option 2 of what where seafood and the last chicken. We both went for the chicken and it came out swimming in oil. The treatment we had myself I couldn't not fault it one bit as I had the manager but my partner had a slightly new girl that was to light handed and had the tendency to chat abit and found it more of a friends experience not a relaxing one. But brilliant otherwise. Other thanks the issues the staff where brilliant and could not fault them one bit especially the dinner staff. I feel the price we paid it should of been alot better room the state of it really needs to be looked into. The curtains are even sun bleached. And the walls are so thin we could hear conversations in every room around us. God forbid if anyone was having any nookie. All in all id rate it a 3 star experience and 2 star hotel.

Everything about the hotel was amazing apart from the room itself, which was below average. The staff were so lovely and the facilities were great - the restaurant food was delicious and the drinks at the bar were very tasty. Unfortunately the room itself was dirty in places; this included stains on the walls, chairs and shower floor. Otherwise, the hotel was pretty decent overall.
