- The experience wasn’t what we have previously experienced at a spa. The receptionist was rude & unwelcoming. She took us to the facilities but didn’t explain anything to us. My friend got the floor a little bit wet by accident & this was totally frowned upon. When she called us for the treatment she didn’t explain that we had to change out of our costumes, she just kept saying you’ll have to be dry! We’ve been to other spa places & kept our costumes on underneath our robes. We then lost time on our treatment because of this. When we’d had our treatment which was rushed through & no explanation of what she was doing, we got changed in the changing rooms & she kept coming in cleaning which made us feel uncomfortable. All in all, we wont be coming back.
- The facilities were basic but in good working order.(hot tub, steam room & sauna). We had two treatments and they were excellent. 55 minutes of pure relaxation. The communication from staff was mixed. 1 lady was excellent, pleasant & very informative. The following day, the communication was almost nil. We were not given the aftercare advise as promised. The dressings gowns are small but again the quality of the treatments made our visit very worthwhile.
- friendly staff hot tub not working stream room not great for several reasons not enough lounges at times no private changing area had to ask for procecco already arranged, they had only small bottles left I think if we had stayed over and the spa was just a bonus that may have been better I think my daughter was disappointed about her birthday present, she said she hoped I had not paid too much
- 2 robes looked like they had been dipped in bleach , very old with holes in, the changing room was none existent, no room to get changed , the jacuzzi was not working how it should, no bubbles and 17 degrees , which was cool seeing as it was outside , the steam room door didn’t close properly. I had a face , scalp and back massage, the young girl was pleasant but not sure she knew what she was doing , I felt products were just slapped on my face, rubbed around a bit then wiped off , head massage was just clay dabbed in my hair and dragged through it and that was it , overall experience was not pleasant , not value for money , definitely won’t be going back .
- Absolute shambles would not be recommending anyone to visit here especially for the price we paid it wasn't even worth half of that! overcrowded not enough space in the facilities

- This was our second visit to the hotel. The reception staff were pleasant & helpful. Our room was cold on arrival & we had issues with the heating throughout our stay. We were given an oil heater on day 2. The curtains were undone on the seams & hanging off the rail. The bathroom was tired with a repaired hole in the bath. No extractor in bathroom and the windows did not open. That can be forgiven as it's an old building. The room was far from deluxe or superior with a tatty divan base exposed. Some simple care & attention would make all the difference. The food was good but took an hour to come and was cold when it did arrive. Sorry but disappointing overall.

- The hotel is beautiful, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The only disappointing thing about our stay was a wasp nest in the spa area so we weren’t able to use the hot tub and sauna on our arrival. The outdoor natural spring pool was fantastic, although cold at 20 degrees but once you swim half a length your body adjust and it was lovely, even my husband, who isn’t a water baby loved it and felt refreshed and energised after our swim. This is a great feature to the hotel and should be promoted more! Our room was spacious with a great view over the garden area. The bar area was cosy but the choice of drinks was limited but as they are newly opened it is an area they will develop.
- My partner and I had a two night stay for my birthday a week ago at New Bath Hotel and Spa. This trip included the two nights, two spa treatments of our choice, two three course dinners, an afternoon tea, breakfast and use of the spa facilities and natural spring pool. The trip could not have better. Special highlights include: The Staff - the front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly and able to sort out any issues we had with no trouble at all. Donna, Ellie and the spa team gave myself and my partner incredible care and amazing treatment for my first professional massage and pedicure. Sean and Clive at the natural spring pool were exceptionally friendly and chatty and (while my partner was swimming) not only treated all the customers with utmost respect and professionalism, kept me company as I hid from the 30 degree sun. The food - The food was incredible. Of special note was the roasted hake starter that was legitimately one of the nicest pieces of fish I’ve ever eaten. The kitchen staff were also wonderfully receptive to my partner’s dietary needs and provided wonderful gluten-free options for the afternoon tea - something that not many places are comfortable catering for. The gluten-free scones tasted just the same as normal ones, a testament to their abilities. The room - despite it being two of the hottest days of the year and without air con in the room, it was surprisingly cool and very comfortable. The room was clean, large, and chilling on the bed watching TV at the end of a hard day’s relaxing and eating was a delight. The spa treatments - This was my first experience of a professional massage and pedicure so I don’t have much to compare it to. However, Donna, Ellie, Tayla, and Faye(? Sorry I’m completely blanking on the final name!) set the benchmark for all future treatments extremely high! My partner and I haven’t felt so relaxed before or since and we’re desperately trying to save money so we can go back for more as soon as possible. I cannot recommend New Bath Hotel and Spa enough.
