Built in 1664, Murrayshall House was originally owned by Sir Andrew Murray (son of First Lord Balvaird). The family became known as the Graham-Murrays and they stayed in the house for 260 years, during which time the house was repeatedly modernised. After a series of tragedies, the property changed hands and in 1973 it was bought by a group of businessmen who transformed it into the luxury hotel it is today.

It's one hour and 15-minutes from Edinburgh or one hour and 20-minutes from Glasgow. The nearest train station is in Perth, which is a 14-minute taxi ride away, and the nearest airport is Dundee (DND), which is half an hour away by car.
