    Very disappointing!! No relaxation room to wait for treatments and only a few loungers around the pool area that was busy with kids splashing about. Not relaxing at all. Therapists did not know what treatments we booked and attempted to state we had 2 30 minute treatments not 2 50 minutes treatments as booked. Was not given the £10 off skincare voucher each as advertised No one asked if we needed anything or enjoyed the experience Afternoon tea and Prosecco was shocking; basic and stale sandwiches and cakes. No clotted cream for the scones just margarine. Prosecco was cheap fizzy wine and tea was cold. Very disappointing as this was a special present for my mothers 60th birthday Won’t be back

    The gym equipment was in poor condition. The pool and facilities were good, but there were only 2 plastic chairs free to use. The service for the light lunch was unbelievably slov and poor. It took 1 hour 15 to serve hummus and pita and the extremely simple lunch 2 hours 15. The spa treatments however were lovely and extremely relaxing.

    Unfortunately there have been a number of shortcomings with this experience. The booking process was very time consuming merely because the lines of the spa were either busy or unmanned and the main hotel team wasn't able to help with the bookings.The facilities throughout the hotel and even more so in the spa looked tired and in need for reinvestment. The spa experience was sadly marred by the volume of guests meaning that the staff struggled to keep up despite being kind and making an effort but there were simply not enough of them. This led to us checking into the spa without seeing the receptionist and finding our own way to the treatment rooms fully dresses in coats and scarves. Both therapists were kind, caring and professional but once again they have little time to sell additional treatments or products and/or offer health and wellbeing advise to enhance the experience. The treatment rooms lacked a chair to sit down while undressing and had very limited space for the clothing we removed which due to wearing our coats was a lot more then just a bath robe. After our treatments we went to use the wet facilities however there weren't enough lockers to store our belongings and due to a hen party the area was rather noisy and busy and sadly only marginally relaxing. I understand that Saturdays are busy in most spas and accepting hen parties will help the spa to ensure they pay their overheads but sadly it distracted from a relaxing afternoon.

    Had a lovely time here, the only thing I would say is that when it comes to midday meals there isn't much notice to tell people what's what, we would have liked an afternoon tea with cakes but unfortunately you had to book a day in advance which there was nothing to say this, however we were given a pot of tea with scones and cream and jam which was lovely,the evening meal was plentiful and delicious with no complaints, we would recommend this hotel and spa.
