Really good day. Shame there is no jacuzzi. This makes a spa day for me. Treatments were very nice. Tammy was great.

The spa itself was great, unfortunately when I booked I hadn't realised that work was ongoing so it was quite noisy whilst the sauna was being upgraded

This is definitely not a 4* resort. The hotel is clean but tired - frayed carpets, corrosion on taps and hand dryers, broken tiles and rotten/damaged wood in the toilets in the bar area. The sink in our room was badly damage me with a massive crack in the basin. The Spa itself is ok, one of the Saunas had the top seating area taped off as it was very broken, but the steam rooms, ice room and other sauna were great. The pool was absolutely freezing - it wasn’t brought to our attention when we arrived and I only noticed a sign at the spa reception when returning our robes that stated the pool was operating at below normal temperature at about 23 degrees - it definitely felt cooler! I had 2 treatments booked in and was looking forward to relaxing - that was not to be as my therapist talked through treatment the entire time - on the forms you fill in on arrival it asks your occupation, well she definitely read it as all she talked about was my job - so much for switching off! Food was ok, I had to wait 30 minutes for dessert at our evening meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy and I must have been forgotten. They did offer me a drink in the house but it was getting late so I didn’t take up the offer but it was a nice gesture. There are other small niggly bits that weren’t great but these were the main points. The staff are all friendly and doing their best I’m sure but this isn’t a luxury spa by any stretch of the imagination! I have contacted the hotel with my issues but I’m yet to hear a peep and I very much doubt I will. Just disappointed on the whole.

    Very Good
Most of the staff in the spa were friendly and helpful, especially Alison and Thai(therapist). My friend who was booked in for the same treatments as me was disappointed as it wasn't anywhere near the same expereience as what I had. She asked the therapist why certain techniques had not been used during the massage and facial but was shrugged off although it was normal to expect a full arm and leg massage if you are having a full body massage??!!! Disappointed there wasn't a jacuzzi and the swimming area is in need of a revamp. There weren't enough seating for the number of guests so, I wonder how bad it gets when the hotel is at a higher capacity.
