    I had lovely spa day, swimming pool was ok, could be a bit warmer, though after sauna, it was just right. The sauna room was great, really enjoyed it. Steam room was ok, though could do with better smell. Towel, slippers and robe were fine, no issues there. Changing room facilities were good and equipped with lockers, hairdryer, cold water machine, private shower cubicle with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Staff at the spa reception were helpful and polite. I had 2 course lunch after spa. Bar staff were again very polite and attentive. Menu had good choice to cater for vegetarians and vegans. Lunch itself was amazing, I had baguette with ham, cheese and tomatoes, it was very well made. For pudding I had sticky toffee pudding. I really loved it. Overall I had really pleasant experience and would gladly return.

    The Spa area and changing rooms are very "tired" the lady who showed us round when we got there was very disinterested and not very clear. She advised us to use changing rooms where the lockers were not working. We had to go back to reception for help - we were then told it was a recurring problem and allowed access to a different changing room. There was only 2 showers out of three working, the toilets were dirty and had broken locks on the doors - not a relaxing environment! The pool was cold (I had been informed of this prior to the visit as they were experiencing problems) the hot tub was empty and dirty - not informed of this and it would have been a welcome respite to the cold water. There were broken tiles around the pool and drainage hoses on the floor in and out of the hot tub. general appearance of needing refurbishment and a good clean. When we went for lunch there were no staff in the bar and restaurant. when one eventually arrived she was not welcoming and when i politely advised we had a 1pm reservation and queried where to go, she told me rather curtly that she couldn't be in two places at once. The Spa lunches were allocated certain tables in the restaurant - the spa menus were not in place and the staff member had to search for the correct ones. Menu has limited but had some good choices. The hot baguette was a bit bland but a large portion which included chips. the wall next to the table was filthy with food remnants and obviously had not been cleaned in some time. We did not have treatments as this was purchased as a last minute relaxing day for me and my mum, it was a good price for use of the facilities and lunch but I would not go back unless I knew ALL facilities were working and that they had made major refurbishments. I would rather pay more money and go elsewhere.
