- Didn't have a treatment when I visited as wasn't included in my package price but great facilities. Therefore can't comment. They could do with more sun loungers around the pool area as you have to fight to get one. Overall for a small spa the facilities were clean and well kept and I would visit again. Lovely grounds and friendly staff who arranged for us to use a room to freshen up as the spa showers were only running cold.
- The spa is new and as expected, immaculate. Very lovely setting and relaxing. However the communication from staff was lacking. We were often left wondering what we were supposed to do or where to go. The spa itself is a lot smaller and basic than we expected. We stayed for a morning (9.30-2.30) and found the itinerary to be odd. We had a fruit platter on arrival and then had to wait until 2.00 for lunch. There were no snacks provided and nowhere you could purchase a snack or drink (other than water provided in water coolers around the spa/pool area). We were told the kitchen would open at 12 and could purchase nibbles then, but our treatments were scheduled at 12 and by the time we got out it wasn’t long until lunch would be served. By the time we could go for lunch we were starving. We waited about 25 minutes for our starters to arrive despite preordering in the morning and had to ask for drinks as we weren’t offered any. It really is a beautiful place I think they have just missed the details, unfortunately. Staff are lovely but think they need to be a bit more attentive and itinerary needs rethinking, 5 hours without snacks or food is a long time (for me at least!). I don’t think we would come back. At this price point I would expect a little more in terms of facilities. This felt more like a hotel with a sauna and steam room as opposed to a spa hotel.
- My wife and daughter were absolutely bowled over by the SPA day at Horwood House! They both said it was the perfect day, and everything from the treatments, staff, food and facilities was perfect. Looking forward to booking again. Can't say better than that really!!

- The hotel was beautiful, staff couldn't do enough to help. All very polite, especially in the restaurants and on reception. We stayed in a deluxe king room, and the bed was heaven. Rooms have an iron and board, tea/coffee making facilities - plenty of hangers and a rainfall shower over the bath. The food was devine, made even better with a £30.00 voucher each towards dinner and a complimentary drinks voucher. I would highly recommend the Sirloin steak, whilst my friend had the pork chop, and the chicken liver parfait to start. We took the lift to access the main manor house for after dinner drinks - well worth it. Stunning I would highly recommend this hotel, and will certainly return.
- Overall excellent, only small criticism was size of room and pillow quality. Afternoon tea and dinner were fantastic. Beautiful grounds, lovely staff and breakfast was good
- Poor cleanliness standards and poor service from the main restaurant There were a number of issues with this hotel and spa. On the plus side, the reception team were very friendly and engaging. Unfortunately, the bedroom was not up to cleanliness standards with cobwebs and dead flies on the main window blind. There was also no water in the bedroom, but staff were happy to bring a bottle when asked. The service from the Harry's bar and kitchen was very below par. We ordered cocktails with our meal but these were never delivered, even after after we re-ordered them with a different member of staff. Service was also very slow and the restaurant did seem to be understaffed. The food was ok but nothing special ,and we eventually cancelled our original drinks order and went for soft drinks. Thankfully, these were delivered towards the end of the meal.
- Far enough away from London to get away for a couple of days, yet near enough to get there in under 2hrs. The hotel is impressive on the approach; the staff throughout were welcoming and attentive; the package included lunch, dinner and breakfast and although a limited menu, the food was excellent (I had to confirm the vegan burger was actually a vegan burger in the evening, and the chocolate dessert starting with 'v' and served with salted caramel ice cream was superb) and filling - I didn't have any room for breakfast. The hotel is very well appointed, the room was very comfortable, and the staff- as mentioned - were excellent, especially during the dinner service where they coped with the rush extremely well (special mention to the chef)!
- As you approach the hotel it looks amazing. However our room was in a purpose built block behind the main house that did not have the character of the main house and could have been any hotel anywhere. The room was clean and comfy with a shower over the bath. All of the staff were polite and the customer service was excellent. The food and drink in the bar was good and it helped that we had a £26 voucher to use towards our meal, the restaurant was nice, decor was nice and staff were super. If this was a hotel you were staying at for a reason it would be great but a little expensive, however it should not be sold as a spa break that is hugely over subscribed, there are far too many guests for the facilities. Car parking was plentiful and free. Good wheelchair access.
