Family friendlyHartwell House is a sophisticated but welcoming hotel. Children aged six and upwards may use the swimming pool everyday from 9am to 10am and from 4pm to 5pm. Please note that children aged six and over are welcome into the hotel restaurant.

- Disappointed 2 night stay. Everything perfect when we arrived. Treatments were wonderful the next day, but when we went to use the facilities at spa after our treatment, there were no loungers or seats available to enjoy the experience. Day visitors had taken them all so we couldn't just relax by the pool. We then decided to go back to the hotel for a cup of tea to relax by the fire but was told we couldn't sit by the fire as cream teas were being served. We felt that the staff were very dismissive of us as we weren't having a cream teas and unimpressed that we only wanted a pot of tea. The looks were quite intimidating. We quickly drank our teas and went back to our room. We then got changed and came down for our dinner. The service was poor and inattentive after the super service of the Friday night. All in all the Friday was lovely but the Saturday was very unsatisfactory apart from our treatments. Such a shame as it cost so much money and was a treat for myself and Daughter
