    Our spa day experience was disappointing from the start. We arrived for a 9 AM booking only to be told it didn’t open until 9:30. We waited in the cold reception area with no refreshments offered. Communication was difficult throughout due to language barriers, and concerns were ignored rather than addressed. Once inside, the spa initially felt relaxing, but issues quickly surfaced. The changing area doors were wedged open, and a sign indicated extra charges for a second towel. My towel smelled of cooking oil and had small bugs crawling on it. The robe provided was too small, and my concerns about hygiene weren’t understood. The spa facilities were underwhelming. The steam room wasn’t hot, the jacuzzi had a short and ineffective bubble cycle, and the hot beds were either broken or too hot. The relaxation room was comfortable, but by this point, I was already cold and damp from poor towel quality. The 55-minute massage lasted only 44 minutes. While somewhat relaxing, it didn’t address tension or knots. The showers afterward were ice cold, and one control knob even fell off, allowing me to manually adjust the temperature. The afternoon tea was equally disappointing. Drinks were limited, water was served lukewarm in stained glasses, and the food was stale, with frozen strawberries. Given the beautiful setting, we had high expectations, but overall, the experience was far from relaxing and not one we would repeat.

    Had a lovely experience once there. I did however call 8 times across multiple days before my trip to try and book my treatments! I would also encourage you to flag at booking it will be a masseuse of different sex. I am OK with that, but was o by told after I had been taken to the room and instructed to change, that oh is it OK if its a man. During the treatment I did think I could hear the rest of the spa a little loudly and at the end realised the door had been deliberately left ajar, I'm assuming as it was a male masseuse and I'm female, but I would have appreciated the door closed for the quiet and this wasn't mentioned to me. Treatment and facilities both brilliant though, just the overall communication could improve.
