    Excellent
Spa staff didn’t call to book treatment like they should and after I called they booked time for it and second day changed it . Not very nice but we past over for facilities and for treatment that have been very good really recommend. Also spa , sauna and jacuzzi really nice . Reception staff at spa should be more vigilant . 9 of 10 as a general impression

I had high expectations for our spa day, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Firstly, there was no pre-arrival call to confirm our treatments or times, which led to a frustrating situation where our treatment times were too late. The changing room itself was small, cramped, and frankly, quite dingy. The robes we were given were scratchy and ill-fitting, barely covering our bodies, which added to the sense of discomfort. The layout of the spa was another issue—there were no clear signs directing us from the changing rooms to the pool and treatment areas, and we had to navigate through cold, shabby-looking corridors that did nothing to set a relaxing tone. The pool area was oddly designed, too. To get to the loungers, we had to carefully manoeuvre around the hot tub area, balancing precariously along the wall to avoid falling in, or climbing over pool equipment. What was supposed to be a peaceful, quiet day was disrupted by the sound of a children's swimming class, where we could hear the constant singing of "Wheels on the Bus." When we went to reception to ask when the classes would finish, we were told it would go on for another two hours. We were then informed of a relaxation space near the treatment rooms, but when we arrived, we were told it was full with only one space left, which felt quite frustrating. We ended up killing time at the bar. Eventually, we were able to access the relaxation space, but it wasn’t as comfortable as we hoped—daybeds and loungers that weren’t exactly conducive to rest. We spent the next few hours there, just waiting until 3 p.m. for our treatments. When we decided to grab lunch at the bar, it was under-staffed, and we had to wait a long time to be served. The staff member who eventually appeared was unprofessional, serving people who arrived after us and acting dismissively when we pointed out the queue. Her response of "I'm on my own, there's only one of me" didn’t feel like a valid excuse for poor service. On the bright side, the food was tasty. The treatments themselves were the highlight of the day—my therapist was excellent, professional, and attentive. However, overall, the spa failed to deliver the relaxing experience we had hoped for. In summary, if you're looking for a tranquil, peaceful spa day, I would not recommend this place. But if you’re just looking for a treatment, the therapists are worth seeing—just be prepared for cold corridors, discomfort, and a lack of overall spa experience. Make sure to wear plenty of warm clothes!

    Very Good
Was a lovely setting. The spa could do with a upgrade. I understand the hotel is being taken over on February.

    Good
Overall spa facilities were average. Some areas were not as clean, the jacuzzi and steam room were also out of order. The area to relax in the spa was smaller than expected and was cold. This type of visit is more suitable if your staying in the hotel and want to use the spa vs of visiting for only the spa. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great.
