- This was a very disappointing experience. Would not call it a "Spa day". Arrive at Elfordleigh and struggled to find the building as it wasn't signposted. The facilities were a leisure centre which was very dated. The facilities had a sauna and steam room. There were two jacuzzi pools but they required switching on and there was a 10/15 minute delay between each cycle. There was no relaxation area - only a plastic chair to sit on poolside. At 10:45 we were subjected to an aqua fit session (which was very awkward to watch). Did not have a treatment. Our "Afternoon tea" was not situated near where the "spa" was and we weren't made aware of this ahead of time. We present to spa reception at correct time to be told Afternoon Tea was served in main hotel. We did not tell comfortable walking across in dressing gown/costume so got changed. Thank goodness we did as the bar had a wedding table and golfers having lunch! Would not book again.

- The leisure facilities were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed using the pool and Jacuzzi's. Again everything was well maintained, with spotless changing facilities. My daughter in Law and I also had a back and neck massage and facial, which was absolutely wonderful and relaxing and we both felt totally pampered. The therapists were knowledgeable, very professional and explained exactly what was going to happen at each step throughout the process, which ensured that you felt totally relaxed and calm. I would highly recommend having a treatment at the spa, during your stay.

- I have been coming here for years. Sadly there seems to be a slight decline in the hotel’s decor. Just small finishes here and there. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed. There was also a wedding which we weren’t informed about. There was a definite increase in price and spa breaks charged me £25 to take our dog but the hotel only charges £15.
- As we had our dog with us we had a larger superior bedroom. It was excellent. Very friendly efficient staff always with a welcoming smile. Not a modern hotel but one with plenty of character.
