    Unfortunately my experience wasn't the best experience. The treatment room was cold and to make it worse, the madsage oil used was also cold this was put directly on my skin. I found the reception staff not very friendly and communication was poor they didn't inform me at the time of booking in charges applied for parking or why I had to pay £50 deposit for! Not only that I was asked on numerous associations to show proof of payment which I found very belittling they'd asked me upon arrival and then when I was checking out, not only that they weren't happy with me telling then my reservation number they wanted to see it on my phone to see how much I'd paid. I have booked through spabreaks numerous time and I have never been challenged like this my any other hotel I've stayed. I can honestly say this has put me off and I don't think I'd stay at this hotel again. I'd booked this for a special occasion and feel that my time and money wasn't spent well or value for money.

    Steam room was out of order as were the showers next to steam room & sauna which meant most people were going straight from sauna into plunge pool, main pool or jacuzzi. Facilities look a bit dated and it was very crowded. Also disappointed that tea and coffee was only available from machines and required extra payment.

    The spa has good options for treatments and what is avaliable. However is a little run down can use a bit of paint. Also treatment paying so much for x2 50min massage at least put pressure like asked in the form.

    We had a wonderful day at the Spa retreat. The therapists were both excellent, friendly and experienced. The pool and restaurant were very good, clean and relaxing. We have had massages previously but this time was by far the best experience. Can't wait to book again. Thank you

    We booked in for two 55 minute full body massages and we only received 40 minute massages. Certain areas were missed by the therapist. But overall massage was good. The spa is lovely and busy overall. There was a steam room and a sauna which we enjoyed!
