On arrival. Coffee machine not working and we d skipped breakfast to have it before our day with you. Then bruef tour of facilities not really very clear.steam room not working which we really wanted to use before lunch as out treatments were booked for adter lunch. It was uo and running after lunch hut we did ntcwant to wash off our oils from the treatment. We thought the entrance to the health club from the street was nt very inviting and a bit dated .a bit disappointing as the spa day was a birthday treat for my guest Lesley

I booked a spa day for me and my wife. When we got there we were initially impressed with the size of the place and the exotic plants as you go in. However, the more you looked around, the dirtier it looked. It is in need of a total makeover. If you are disabled (like us), the fact that the lift don't work is a bit of a problem. The stairs have worn treads, the side rails are dirty, the glass is dirty with hand prints all over the place, the ceiling above the lounge are of the swimming pool is leaking and all the roof tiles are stained and unsightly. Never saw a life guard either while we were there. We were given a lightening tour of the place and no instruction at all about the fitness equipment which could have led to us injuring ourselves. Luckily for us, we are conversant with the gym equipment as we have visited numerous spas in the past. The glass lift down to the gym kept stopping with us stuck inside and a gym user had to let us out. The positive thing was that we both enjoyed our massages by our friendly young masseuses and the place was nice and warm. Lunch was nice but we won't be visiting again, due to the dirty environment. We only saw 2 cleaners but a place that size needs more on duty.

    Good
The staff were friendly but the condition of the facilities were poor. The standard of bannatyne had dropped since I last visited.
