A girls’ weekend is all about creating fun and memorable times with plenty of relaxation thrown in and the Aztec Hotel and Spa offers that and more. Tribute nights, which can be booked as part of a spa break are a fun option, but so too are the individual treatments on the menu that will leave you feeling relaxed and gorgeous. There’s a gym for workouts and a pool for swimming, but if that’s too tiring, check out the hotel’s new Curious Kitchen restaurant for a bite to eat.

    Good
Enjoyed the treatment and relaxation room, we couldn’t use the pool, jacuzzi, steam room or sauna as there were so many screaming children in there. There were no beds around the pool area and you couldn’t relax even if you wanted to.

    Very Good
Very pleased with the stay and impressed with all of the facilities. Some organisational mishaps with timings and a coffee machine that didn’t work in the entrance lounge but was a very good experience overall and we would go again

    Good
We had booked x3 spa ritual packages(2x 25min treatments each) at £130 each, upon arrival - there was noone to be seen at the hotel reception, leaving us waiting a long time and not knowing where to go. When someone finally came out they just pointed and shouted over there! We got into the spa reception and was greeted by a nice gentleman. He guided us through our treatment times and showed us where to go and when. We headed in, walking past a leaking ceiling in reception, awaited our treatments where two of our appointments were mixed up. One of us could only have one treatment as there was a mix up with staff, which we were not aware off. The 2nd started her first treatment, finished up and left the room only to go back in the same room immediately after for her 2nd treatment, this should have been known. The ordeal in the restaurant, started when walking in. The staff were rowing over the spa messing all their reservations up. (it was empty and had about 4 full tables). They put us in the restaurant and then moved us when they realised an afternoon tea setup was arranged for us a little further around the corner. Whilst we were up, we asked if we could sit outside as being in the robes on the hottest day of the year felt like it should be a fair question. We were told that they would have to check as it maybe fully booked. (it was empty). The lady took our dietaries and even after clarifying one of us is pescaterian, they received a vegetarian option. The savory tart came in a sweet pasty case, but other than that the food was nice and alot of it. When we went back into the spa, lots of children were present and under 6's were in and out of the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room without adult supervision. The Spa staff clocked this around 30 minutes after. Most of the Spa day guests sat outside to get away from the children. Possibly limiting the time for spa days would work better, as this was not relaxing at all. The back massage was deemed the best by two of our spa goers but the head massage was dry (no oils used) and scratchy and not comfortable/ relaxing at all. I hope this feedback is helpful.
