Read full postEmbracing a world of different holistic therapies, this alternative therapy is now in the UK from the USA, combining sound, light, and colour frequencies to promote healing and balance in body and mind. Here's what you need to know.
An almost spaceship-like structure, the Harmonic Egg is a chamber using the principles of Sacred Geometry in its design to amplify and harmonise sound frequencies, light, and colour to help restore the body’s natural energy flow. There are four key components to Harmonic Egg healing that all lend themselves to the unique experience.
These include:
The Harmonic Egg is a dodecagon structure designed to be a protective space that enhances the flow of energy and allows healing frequencies to penetrate the body more effectively. There is no bluetooth or internet; it's non-invasive and is a repeatable process.
Music and sound vibrational frequencies play a significant role in Harmonic Egg Healing. Building on the traditional elements of sound therapies such as Tibetan sound bowls, music specially composed using elements such as tuning forks, gongs, or crystal bowls to bring the body into a state of rest. Sound therapy is thought to help balance the body’s energy, improve circulation, release tension, and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, amongst other things.
Coloured lights are also projected into the egg chamber during the session as part the light therapy component. Different colours are said to have different healing properties, which can influence emotions, stress levels, and overall health (known as chromotherapy). For example, blue light is thought to have calming influences, while red is said energise and stimulate.
The combination of sound and light in the Harmonic Egg is intended to have a harmonising effect, addressing imbalances in the body’s energy fields. These vibrational frequencies are said to help reduce stress, improve mood, detoxify, enhance mental clarity, and support emotional healing.
Created in America, Marie Friend is credited with bringing the Harmonic Egg to the UK. After her initial concern with the levels of stress and anxiety in our teenagers just before the Covid 19 lockdown in 2020, and as the mother of two teenagers, she was determined to find alternative ways of helping other than the prescribed antidepressants.
Having always had an interest in holistic therapies, she began researching and came across the Harmonic Egg:
"I was blown away by what I discovered," she says, "and went down a complete rabbit hole of research about the use of sound as medicine. Before I knew it I'd contacted the inventor and one was on its way across the ocean to me. It arrived on 1st May 2021, just as the lockdown ended, and my first clients came up from London."
The results that Marie has witnessed have been transformative, helping with physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and helping to reset the nervous system, leaving people feeling profoundly different and calm.
"We are all so used to feeling fried and stressed all the time," she says, "but sound can really heal your mind and body, elevating your soul and your consciousness - over the last three years I have really seen that."
Now Marie has taken the next step and is manufacturing the next generation of the Harmonic Egg in the UK, and is getting ready to bring it into spas across the country - watch this space!
There are a number of reported health benefits of Harmonic Egg Healing, making it a head-to-toe holistic experience. These include:
A treatment will typically start when you lay down in a relaxed position inside the Egg, on a zero gravity chair which is cushioned for comfort.
Next, a combination of sound vibrational frequencies and coloured lights are projected onto the body, and you are immersed in a soothing and meditative environment for the duration of the session, which lasts 50 minutes.
In general, Harmonic Egg Healing is considered to be a relaxing experience that helps to restore a sense of balance for mind, body and soul, but it's particularly recommended for:
Summing it up beautifully, The Female CEO, Tricia Scott, writes on her blog:
"If you had told me five years ago I would be relaxing in a zero-gravity chair in an egg-shaped chamber while sound vibration worked on my autonomic nervous system, I'd have thought you were bat-sh**-crazy, and yet here I am foot-tappingly impatient to get my butt back in the egg for another fantastic session. Yes, I have booked my next session and the one after that; although I am no expert, I can see and, more importantly, feel the difference in my body, and I cannot wait to re-live the experience and see where it takes me. My advice? Make the time. Do the thing. You won't regret it."
