With rural vistas of glorious Gloucestershire countryside, The Greenway is a tranquil little haven where The Garden restaurant has views over the sunken garden and lily pond providing the perfect backdrop for the 16th century manor house with space to roam in the summer sun. The piece de resistance on this occasion however is the alfresco hot tub!
In 73 acres of countryside, the grounds at Moddershall Oaks are perfect for cycling, strolling or simply viewing. Woodland walks and trail maps are available, as well as outdoor tennis courts and a brand new outdoor spa courtyard including relaxation lounge. There’s a spa deli, 25 square metre heated vitality spa pool and a kelo sauna.
Rockliffe Hall is spectacular at any time of the year, but after recent renovation they have introduced a whole new alfresco facility that’s a joy to explore this summer. The beautiful outdoor area has two hot pools including an infinity pool, a Jacuzzi, and lounging area surrounded by landscaped gardens and spectacular views - bliss!
In 66 acres of parkland, the views at Tylney Hall are spectacular and ideal for picnics in the summer! The historic building is utterly romantic and reminiscent of a scene from Jane Austen. Outside there is a pool sheltered by a walled garden, a tennis court, jogging trails, mountain bike hire, and a croquet lawn - all waiting to be explored!
The gardens at Fawsley Hall oscillate between neat lawns and rural parkland. Stretching into the horizon, they are perfect for a gentle stroll or for exploring a number of the walking trails. The spa is in a separate building to the hotel, so you need to head outside to get there anyway. Once there, take advantage of the outdoor hydro pool and Nordic walking sessions for a different take on fitness in this achingly beautiful part of the world.
Ellenborough Park is all about country living. So you can borrow wellies and a jacket to wander around the 90 acres of grounds, or do it the relaxed way in the adult only spa with its beautiful heated outdoor pool.
Surrounding the converted Victorian coach house that is Ardencote and its wealth of indoor facilities, the hotel has an adult only outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. On the edge of its own lake, the landscaped gardens are also worth exploring, complete with rose and knot gardens where you can dine or have afternoon tea in the sunshine, surrounded by aromatic lavender beds.
Surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, Homewood Park is luxurious, romantic and contemporary in the spa, in contrast to the historic hotel building. The spa is surrounded by an original garden wall and herbs that attract the honey bees in the summer months, and the heated outdoor pool is a remarkable place to spend time in the sun such is its unique design.
With mountain and sea views Crerar Oban Bay is the embodiment of escapism, renowned for its beautiful gardens, views, ocean promenade, ancient relics, and huge range of outdoor activities. Perhaps our favourite feature for taking it all in however, is the outdoor hot tub, once again with views across the bay.
