The historic town of Warminster sits amidst the beauty of south-west Wiltshire on the edge of Salisbury Plain, offering a world of attractions, rest, and relaxation.
Read full postThe first thing that you’re struck by is the scale of everything. The grounds are extensive, compounded by the hotel’s own 18-hole golf course, and the hotel itself has 127 rooms and suites. It is about grandeur but in contemporary style. It’s exclusive, but still a great place for a family break. So far, so good!
Choose your room depending on the type of break that you’re looking for. The country house hotel just outside Durham includes everything from twin rooms to a luxurious Celebration Suite. All the way through it is modern and luxurious all at once, with views of the beautiful gardens and a sense of calm thanks to ever present neutral tones.
The spa itself is adults only, for those aged 18 and above, providing a little sanctuary away from the rest of the world. It includes all manner of facilities from a 25 metre pool to an outstanding balcony infinity pool on the first floor for private use. It has an extensive thermal experience and even a spa garden, so if you want to you really can turn your break into an all singing, all dancing spa experience topped off with a collection of ESPA spa treatments and bespoke therapies.
In case we hadn’t already mentioned, Ramside Hall Hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. In 350 acres it’s all about the views and getting outside and exploring them. Whether you decide to do that on the 18-hole golf course or in the gardens themselves is up to you. Either way it makes for a wonderful sense of relaxation and escapism in close proximity to postcard perfect Durham.
Food is a focal point, but despite the pedigree of the hotel, it’s an unstuffy affair. The jewel in the crown is the award-winning Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill, but there’s also an asian restaurant in the spa, Pemberton’s Carvery, The Clubhouse and a coffee lounge for afternoon tea.
Ramside Hall Hotel, really is one of those special places that you want to recommend to everyone whether they’re families, friends, lovers or mother and daughters, it’s simply a joy to visit. That said, it is a particularly wonderful experience for groups thanks to the spa and its extensive facilities. The fact that there’s a private outdoor infinity pool that takes up to eight people makes it especially perfect for groups and hen parties.
If you’re organising a hen party or group break, book the private outdoor infinity pool. Make sure you get outside and explore the grounds. Leave a proper amount of time to enjoy everything that the spa has to offer while you’re there.
