Let's start with the location of The Lakes by YOO to really set the scene. Set within an 850-acre sustainable estate in the Cotswolds, it's just 90-minutes from London. The result is that you feel as though you've entered some sort of utopian world - at once aligned with nature, but with the best of modern amenities and experiences at the same time.
The Lakes by YOO is something of a village, where visitors can stay in design-led homes including cabins, apartments and houses, all showcasing exemplary modern architecture. Properties have up to six bedrooms, each with their own features, such as balconies overhanging the water for a dreamy view to wake up to.
The vast array of experiences available at The Lakes by YOO is part of its charm. There are indoor and outdoor activities to be enjoyed, and everything is delivered to the highest possible standards.
Amongst the activities that encourage you to enjoy the landscape are opportunities to explore the farmyard, arboretum, beehive, freshwater lakes and woodland trails. There are also water sports, two tennis courts, a full-size cricket net, a golf practice net, football goals and a jogging trim trail with outdoor gym equipment.
The properties all have self-catering facilities, but the estate is also home to The Lakes Bar and Kitchen with its nature-inspired rustic interiors and its all-day menu ranging from wood-fired pizzas, homemade soups or fine dining. It's all enjoyed with views of The Sailing Club Lake and there's even live music on Thursdays.
The Spa by YOO is a particularly popular part of the experience, offering everything from forest bathing and swimming in the freshwater lakes, to longevity-based programmes with science-backed therapies to strengthen the immune system. Facilities include a peaceful 17-metre indoor pool, sauna and steam room, a spa garden with space to sit and unwind, a state-of-the-art TechnoGym and a fitness studio.
Spa treatments are available in the dedicated, award-winning YOO Studio, where therapists offer a unique range of signature spa rituals. Their favoured brands include COSMOSS by Kate Moss, facials from world-renowned skincare specialist Dr. Barbara Sturm, holistic therapies from MOSS of the ISLES (known for their wild-crafted plant alchemy), and high-performance formulations from Wildsmith Skin. It's a truly luxurious wellness experience that's focused on results.
