About us
Created by Abi Selby in 2008, Spabreaks.com creates and markets spa experiences designed so that everybody can enjoy a spa break on any occasion.
Working with more than 500 spa destinations around the world and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 250,000 people each year, from a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants based in Brighton.
However, those are just the numbers. Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make spa experiences more accessible to everybody:
- We believe in spas as places of sanctuary for mental and physical wellbeing.
- We believe that time looking after our wellbeing is a necessity, not a luxury.
- We believe that wellbeing is to be enjoyed!
- We are dedicated to creating a spa experience for everybody - every individual, occasion, location and preference, whether you are heading on a romantic break, a hen party or a detox retreat.
- We make it easy to find and book what you want, which is why we don’t sell individual treatments - we sell complete packages listed by category, region and price. We also offer a variety of booking options - over the phone, online, online chat and email.
- We believe that wellness is anything that makes you feel great, whether you want to have a massage and enjoy a champagne afternoon tea, sip on a smoothie after time in the sauna, or party the night away at a tribute night after time in the thermal suite with your friends.
- We are dedicated to making spas more accessible to anyone with a major health problem (like cancer) and work with industry leaders to make sure that anyone who has ever felt marginalised never feels that way again.
Over the past 16 years we've been dedicated to finding and creating spa experiences for every occasion, every budget, every mood, every location - everybody - by listening to what people want and delivering it.
Experience matters
For guests, for spa partners, for our team
When we first began, it was in the heyday of the discount model. Spabreaks.com defiantly flew in the face of that logic, offering a UK-based team of spa experts, carefully considered spa packages that responded to the wants and needs of customers, and an emphasis on a high quality experience no matter what you spend. Now the leading spa experience platform in Europe, Spabreaks.com continues to strive to offer the best experience.
For customers that means the best customer service, multiple booking options, a wide variety of packages, prices and locations, and expert advice.
"After booking through Spabreaks.com I was contacted by them to say the spa couldn’t accommodate my original booking on the date requested. Natalie did everything she could to get it sorted for me, this included a lot of back and forth between her and the hotel and me. Excellent company to use to book a spa break!" - Natalie (spa guest)
For spa partners that means a truly collaborative relationship led by our Product Team, who work with spas to create the experiences that people want, and make sure they can find them on our easy-to-navigate site or with the support of our in-house spa experts.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Spabreaks.com for over 15 years and have found them to be an absolute necessity and integral part of our sales channel. They jump through hoops for us when required and have been instrumental in increasing our bookings and revenue when required. The whole team is quick and efficient both in terms of handling administrative queries and in overall management of our venues. They make it all very easy and have been a delight to work with.” - Caroline, Historic Hotels (spa partner)
For our team, that means a warm and welcoming working environment where individuals are embraced, talent is nurtured and encouraged and achievement is rewarded.
"Spabreaks.com has been incredibly understanding about balancing home and work, and I think in many ways that comes from Abi (Spabreaks.com Founder), who’s a working mum herself. She’s very understanding if one of the children is ill, or there’s a school play or the school run, and helps me to fit work around those things so that my kids never lose out. It’s full-time but there’s flexibility, so if that means starting earlier or working later so I can fit it all in, there’s some space for that." - Laura, CRM & Email Marketing Executive
